Participants create an account on Prolific and are then notified of future studies they are eligible for based on the demographic information they provide.

When your study is posted, an email will be sent out to a random subset of all eligible participants. Participants can also see currently available studies that they are eligible for by going to their studies dashboard on Prolific or by downloading the Prolific Assistant extension.

We also send email invites to eligible participants for a study every 48 hours if it has not reached its maximum number of submissions within this time.
