Before you start
Your survey should already be built using Pavlovia's Surveys tool.
Your study should already exist as a draft on Prolific, with its study URL entered on the 'Data collection' page. The authenticity check script is generated from this URL.
You can set up LLM checks, bot checks, or both, depending on your study.
What you'll do
Confirm participant IDs are being recorded
Add the authenticity check script to your survey
Step 1: Confirm participant IDs are being recorded
Use the URL parameters option in Prolific. In the 'Recording Prolific IDs' section, enter your Pavlovia survey URL in the 'What is the URL of your study?' box, then select 'URL parameters'. You must select this option for authenticity checks to work on Pavlovia.
Step 2: Add the authenticity check script to your survey
On the 'Data collection' page in Prolific, find the 'Authenticity checks' section. Check the box for the checks you want to use, then copy the generated script.
On Pavlovia, go to 'Dashboard', then 'Surveys'. Select 'New survey', or select an existing survey, then click 'Go to survey page'.
Click the three dots next to 'Add Question', then select 'HTML'.
Paste the script into the 'HTML markup' field.
Click 'Save'.
This question won't display any content to participants, since it only contains the tracking script.
For what your results mean and how to act on them, see How to review your authenticity check results.
