To update the email address connected to your Prolific account:
Navigate to your 'My account' page via the menu in the top right corner
Locate your 'Email' and click ‘Change email’
Once the form has popped up, enter the new email address you’re wanting to attach to your Prolific account
Enter your current Prolific password and click ‘Update email’ to initiate the process
Now check the inbox of your current email address (the one currently attached to your Prolific account)
Open the email and click the 'Confirm email update'' button. This will trigger a verification email to be sent to your new email address.
Open the inbox of your new email address and click 'Verify' in the email
After clicking the verification link, you'll be redirected to Prolific, where you'll see a 'Success' notification, and your updated email will appear on your 'My account' page.
I’m having issues updating my email address
Common Issues
If you're logged into a different account when clicking the verification links, you'll see an error message
If the verification links have expired (after 3 hours), you'll need to start the process again
The form will show errors if:
The new email address is the same as your current one
Any required fields are left empty
